This Project is a part of the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030. ACWA Power has been awarded 260MW Solar PV plant, at the lowest tariff of 5.84 US Cents/kWh over a 25-year period. This project demonstrates declining costs of Solar PV technology, making it more cost-competitive when compared to conventional energy such as natural gas. The plant is the second phase of the 1GW Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. The plant uses fixed tilt thin film technology.
