The Project will consist of the development, design, engineering, procurement, construction, financing, operations and maintenance, for the 25-year term of the BOO PPA, of a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant capable of firing natural gas and alternative liquid fuel. The project shall have an installed capacity of not less than 2,250 MW. The off-taker is the ‘Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company’ (EETC). The Project is located at Nagaa Hamadi, Al Hanadi, Esna, Luxor Governorate. The project site covers an area of approximately 433,000 m2. It is expected that commencement of simple-cycle operation will be in Summer 2022 and the combined-cycle operation in Summer 2023.
